We are looking for a competent and experienced Event Coordinator and Admin Assistant  to assist in the busy and thriving activities of a top Winelands Estate. The successful candidate will possess over outstanding organizational & communication skills, meticulous planning skills and a passion for upmarket hospitality sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Planning events from start to finish according to business division requirement, target audience and objectives
  • Pre-event preparation and trouble shooting
  • Pro-active execution which will enhance the success of the event
  • Preparing budgets for events and ensuring they are adhered to or improved on
  • Effective intercompany co-ordination resulting in smooth event execution
  • Sourcing and negotiation with vendors and suppliers
  • Appointment and managing of all temporary events staff
  • Analyze the events success and provide detailed reports and feedback
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Estate Hospitality Manager
  • Manages the Activitar reservations portal
  • Customer service - Addresses all clients and customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Positively & actively promotes the company services and products

REQUIREMENTS

  • A proven track record as an experienced Event Coordinator
  • Skilled in project management
  • Excellent communication ( fluent in English & Afrikaans) and negotiation skills
  • Computer literacy MS Office
  • Excellent classic cuisine & wine knowledge
  • A customer service driven individual
  • Experience in upmarket / fine dining Hospitality service
  • Qualification in Hospitality management and/ or Project management

Salary: Market related

Start date: June / July 2022
