Aslina wines is looking for an ambitious and forward-thinking marketing & brand co-ordinator to create marketing strategy and manage and implement all day-to-day marketing activities and campaigns.  passionate, motivated and a creative thinker, the successful candidate will have experience and confidence in performing a wide range of marketing activities including developing marketing strategies, creating and implementing marketing/promotional plans and managing stakeholder communications to promote the aslina brand.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to :

  • undertaking market/competitor analysis and understanding the markets in which aslina operates
  • researching market conditions and identifying trends both local and international
  • carrying out regular competitor price point checks to inform pricing decisions
  • creating marketing plans to best reach aslina’s target audiences, both trade and consumer
  • preparing an annual promotional calendar
  • implementing plans to attract new and retain current customers including test marketing new initiatives
  • developing strategies for building and managing membership of aslina’s wine club through a variety of channels
  • managing and executing all aspects of social media to ensure planned and coordinated messaging
  • arranging participation in trade shows and consumer events
  • managing competition entries both local and international
  • identifying new merchandising opportunities
  • managing the process of creating marketing materials – both design and copywriting
  • managing and controlling the marketing budget
  • monitoring effectiveness and monthly tracking/reporting of all marketing activities
  • understanding brand values and building brand awareness both internally and externally
  • working with the sales team(s) to maximise existing and establish new streams of revenue
  • working with the tasting room assistant to plan promotions and events
  • working partnerships with third parties – corporate relationships, ambassadorships etc
  • establishing relationships with retail and trade customers for good customer service
  • strengthening relationships with media to expand pr opportunities
  • representing brand aslina at trade events and other public appearances as required
  • supporting ntsiki on all marketing fronts, both local and international, including diary management


  • experience in marketing/brand management, ideally 3-5 years working in marketing
  • excellent spoken and written communication skills (english included)
  • good organisational and planning skills
  • capacity to be creative and innovative when designing marketing plans and materials
  • an understanding of the latest marketing techniques and practices
  • good wine industry knowledge both trade and consumer - wset qualified (level 2 or above)
  • good it knowledge including powerpoint and excel
  • proven experience of budget management and forecasting
  • pro-active, driven, motivated and able to take initiative
  • creative thinker and problem solver
  • strong customer service orientation
  • able to work autonomously in a small team environment
  • ability to live aslina brand values
