Our client, a well-known 3-star Lodge and Resort situated in Saldanha Bay, offers comfortable accommodation and a variety of services.
The restaurant offers a relaxed and cosy dining experience which includes plated and multi-course sharing plates and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. The property is well supported by corporate delegates and offers a variety of function and conference facilities and specialises in niche events such as weddings and private functions.
It will be advantageous if the individual resides in the local vicinity.
• A qualification in professional cookery
• National Senior Certificate
• Own reliable transport and valid driver’s license
• Fully bilingual
• Computer literate
• Strong operational and leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Focussed, creative and passionate about the hospitality industry
• Strong staff training ability
• Customer orientated skills
• Able to work under pressure
• Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable
• Daily food preparation and cooking
• Experience in menu engineering and costing
• Continued staff development and training
• Inventory management / supplier liaison
• Ensure compliance with health codes and regulations
• Maintaining cleaning schedules
• Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality and appearance
• Extreme attention to detail
