Purpose:  The purpose is to manage team members, daily controls and outcomes based for success of the International Sales division, by providing unique customer service in line with Sales strategic objectives.

This should include execution of capturing, management and successful loading and shipping of International orders, to follow on and progress in efficiency and productivity year on year within performance and measured Customer Satisfaction

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary qualification ( Logistics or Freight Forwarding)
  • A minimum of 5-7 years experience in the management of forwarding trades to all major markets
  • Sound knowledge of legislative requirements within SA Wine Industry
  • Computer literate MS Office, Outlook and SAP
  • Customer service environment 5-7 years experience
  • A good understanding of Ethical business practice
  • Experience in sea freight export booking management that includes shipping line and legislative body contact and interaction to more than one trade lane from South Africa

Job Summary:

  • To manage the execution and management of customer expectation for orders placed, pending and being delivered within responsible markets
  • To ensure SLA enforcement with agents, service providers and shipping lines
  • Respond to all customer queries raised, responded to or escalated where needed
  • Monitor and ensure team is on time with all submissions to external parties
  • Check and ensure FIFO is applied to each order. Optimisation of shipments, in terms of space utilisation
  • To stay informed and give critical input on changes in routings and shipment
  • Ability to suggest and enforce process changes as needed in terms of legislative and supply chain events to still optimise internal output
  • To liaise internally with Packed Warehouse on orders to be accurate and on-time to ensure order fulfilment
  • Bookings, releases and SI submissions to be communicated and arranged
  • Management of Customs entries related to shipments of trades
  • Drive continuous improvement of the process performance and team efficiency
  • Monitor compliance at all times to regulations
  • To manage the bond acquittal process
  • Provide regular feedback to Export Manager of service provider performance Interpret and recognize trends due to changing global parameters
  • Ability to implement process improvements within KWV internally and externally while adhering to requirements of legal and ethical exporting
  • Ensure incumbents have the necessary means and tools to perform in their role.
  • Act as a mentor for the others in the team.
  • Responsible to ensure team to be on time with reporting, be trained on Customer standard communication
