Harvest Intern 2024 season - Premium Family Owned Winery in Paarl

Family-owned winery in Paarl looking for an intern to join our small team for the 2024 harvest season from mid January until end of April / beginning May. 

We specialise in red wine production which makes up about 90% of our production, as well as a small amount of white and rosé.

If you would like to be involved in the winemaking process from beginning to end, this is the place for you.

Your duties would include, but not be limited to, the following:


  • Grape sampling
  • Vineyard reports
  • Data entry of grape enzymatics
  • Management of crush pad 
  • General assisting with cellar duties as needed


  • Set-up and break down of harvest processing equipment
  • Monitoring fermentation enzymatics
  • Record keeping of fermentation analytics 
  • Additions / adjustments
  • Fermentation management practices 
  • Upkeep of cellar cleaning / hygiene 
  • Cleaning of processing equipment 
  • Pressing of grapes 
  • Barrel preparation and filling

What you can expect:

  • Involvement in all parts of the winemaking process, starting in the vineyards
  • In the peak of season, we will be working 7 days a week, but we will work shifts on weekends
  • Lunch will be provided
  • A small team that are passionate about what we do 
  • This is a paid position

What we expect from you:

  • Passion for the work you do
  • Positive, "can-do" attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
  • Own transport and drivers license 
  • Fork lift license is beneficial 
  • At least 2 previous vintage experiences
