This is an exciting opportunity to join The Stellenbosch Collection (Rust en Vrede, Guardian Peak, Stellenbosch Reserve, De Volkskombuis, and Stellenbosch Wine Bar) hospitality team and become an integral part of our wine and food experience.

We are looking for a dynamic Assistant Restaurant and Tasting Room Manager to join the team. Previous experience in a hospitality environment is essential. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and should have good personal presentation.

We are looking for a strong personality that must be confident with customer service and able to communicate effectively with a large team. Candidates should also have a good work ethic, motivation, and a sharp eye for detail.

Minimum requirements:

  • Experience in a hospitality environment.
  • Grade 12 is essential.
  • Tertiary education advantageous, particularly WSET or Cape Wine Academy.
  • Afrikaans & English speaking.
  • Must be available to work weekends/public holidays and some evenings (hospitality hours).
  • Own Transport.
  • Client service experience is essential.
  • Able to work under pressure

Key Functions:

  • Assisting the Tasting Room/Restaurant Manager with a large team of part-time staff.
  • Floor management during service.
  • Communication between front and back of house.
  • Focus on the best guest experience.
