National Sales/Marketing Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Sales manager, with marketing experience, to manage our sales team. National trade sales experience is a must, with international experience and contacts a bonus. (Min of 5-10 years experience in the South African wine industry.)
We are a mid-sized family owned and managed wine farm. Our winery and offices are situated in the Paarl/Franschhoek area.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans. 
  • Manage and grow key accounts while expanding the customer base
  • Oversee e-commerce sales
  • Create impactful sales campaigns with sales representatives
  • Conduct regular market analysis and stay ahead of industry trends
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sales team
  • Operational and budget reporting to Managing director
  • Daily/weekly sales administrative duties
  • Active interaction with Winemaker and Financial Manager
  • Travel to promote and support brand.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a successful Sales Manager in the wine industry. 
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the wine market.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
  • Strong focus on results and maintenance of margins
  • Purpose-driven and a desire to be the best
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in sales, marketing, or business.
