Calling all restaurant and tasting room Training and HR Managers, FOH teams and wine focused individuals.
Apeirogon Youth Development Academy is a knowledge transfer and wine skills training provider based in Cape Town. Applications for the Introductory Sommelier Course are now open. The course is examined and certified by the South African Sommeliers Association (SASA).
Introductory Sommelier is an intense two-day course. By the end of the course, each participant would develop competency in wine theory basics; fundamentals of wine service etiquette; wine assessment; foundations of food and wine pairing; interacting with guests; wine regions and other beverages.
April dates:
Day 1 & 2: Monday 15th & Friday19th

SASA Exam: Monday 29 April
May dates:
Day 1 & 2: Monday 13th & Friday 17th
Time: 9am - 4pm
SASA Exam: Monday 27 May

Courses are conducted wherever your team is based.
From Apeirogon, each participant receives a workbook to keep, all training materials and a Recognition of Completion Certificate.
From SASA, each participant receives Membership and upon passing the exam, an Introductory Sommelier pin and Certificate.
