Tasting Room Assistant Manager

Stellenbosch Reserve is looking for a dynamic Assistant Manager to join our team at our new venue.  Previous experience in a hospitality environment is essential. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and should have good personal presentation.

We are looking for a strong personality who must be confident with customer service and should be able to communicate effectively with the front-of-house and kitchen teams. Candidates should also have a good work ethic, be motivated, and have a sharp eye for detail.

Minimum requirements

  • Experience in a hospitality environment
  • Grade 12 is essential
  • Tertiary education is advantageous, particularly WSET or Cape Wine Academy
  • Afrikaans & English Speaking
  • Must be available to work weekends/public holidays and some evenings (hospitality hours)
  • Own Transport
  • Client service experience is essential
  • Able to work under pressure

  • Assisting the Manager with the front-of-house team.
  • Floor management during service in the restaurant/events.
  • Communication between front and back of house
