We are looking for an inspired and ambitious leader to head up our Hospitality department at Warwick Wine Estate, Stellenbosch.
Position Purpose:
The Head of Hospitality will play a critical role in driving the success of the Hospitality department through strategic leadership, operational excellence, and a relentless focus on delivering exceptional guest experience, while also ensuring effective systems implementation and controls to optimize operational processes and compliance.
Requirements:
- A proven track record of at least 7 years in a similar environment and position.
- An innovative business mindset with a focus on sales and operational efficiency.
- Passion and flair for creating memorable, and consistent visitor experiences.
- Excellent communication skills – internal and external.
- In-depth knowledge of, and interest in the culture of food and wine, always up to date with the latest developments and trends.
- An ability to create a dynamic and exciting environment for a team to thrive, cultivating a culture of caring and responsibility.
- Computer literacy (MS Office, POS & Booking systems)
- A sound understanding of brand management in a hospitality environment.
Responsibilities:
- Full accountability for the department’s P&L
- Ensuring an excellent visitor experience along all touchpoints
- Development and implementation of new offerings and experiences
- Management of FOH and BOH Teams
- System implementation and control
- Ensuring compliance within the department (HR, OHS, Hygiene, etc.)
