Current vacancy for a Visitor Centre Manager, where duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the management of all daily operations in the Tasting Room and Restaurant.
SKILLS
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude, professional and excellent service and hospitality to a high level of guest satisfaction
- Be knowledgeable of all wine offerings with a qualification in Wine Tourism
- Energetic, accountable, and team-oriented
- Reliable, responsible, and organized
- Strong interpersonal skills, team player and a leader
- Attention to detail, planning and thoroughness
- Proficient in EzyWine, Excel, or ability to learn these programs.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced working environment
- Minimum of five years in a managerial position in the wine industry required
TASKS
- Oversee the daily operations of our Visitor Centre, which includes tastings, visitor relations, tours, staff management and performances, cash-ups and stock control.
- Inventory management of wine, retail merchandise and tasting room supplies
- Partner with wine educators, winemakers and production staff to ensure the staff receives the appropriate level of sales, product and general wine education and training
- Coordinate hospitality events, such as consumer tastings, VIP tastings and events
- Handle routine purchasing transactions, including operating registers, and accounting for daily sales
