Muratie Wine Farm is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable tasting room assistant. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in wines, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create an engaging and memorable experience for the guests. This role involves guiding customers through the tasting process, providing information about different wines, and ensuring a positive and educational experience for all participants.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Presenting informed, well-executed tastings to all guests.
- Promote and sell wines in the tasting room.
- Prepare tasting areas, ensure cleanliness and organization of the tasting area before and after each tasting.
- Processing cellar door orders and dispatching orders.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Ensure tasting room policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Assist in organizing and executing special events and private tasting.
- Cash-ups.
- Assist with managing tasting room stock and stock controlling.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience in the wine/hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of wine and winemaking processes.
- Excellent customer service skills and communication skills to effectively engage with customers.
- Willingness to work weekends, public holidays and occasional evening events.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks, follow instructions correctly with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in their work.
- Reside in/around Stellenbosch area.
