Events Manager/Sales Manager at Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate

The Role: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Events Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing all events held at Benguela Cove, ensuring each event is a memorable and seamless experience. This role requires a blend of creativity, meticulous planning, and exceptional customer service to maintain and enhance our reputation as a premier events destination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise, and execute a wide range of events, including weddings, corporate functions, wine tastings, and private parties.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their vision and requirements, providing expert advice and personalized service.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure all aspects of each event are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and logistics, ensuring events are executed flawlessly while maximising profitability.
  • Lead and motivate a team of event staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Analyse event performance and gather feedback to continually improve our offerings and customer satisfaction.
  • Developing sales opportunities with corporate clients.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in event management, preferably in the hospitality or wine industry.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of building relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for creating unique and engaging events.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required by event schedules.
  • A degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or related field is advantageous.
