Position: Wine Tasting Room Team Member
Location: Klein Constantia Estate
Hours: Shift-based availability, including weekends
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate with shared tips.
Responsibilities:
- Engage guests in a welcoming and informative manner, creating a memorable wine tasting experience.
- Conduct wine tastings with precision and enthusiasm, showcasing our exceptional wine selection.
- Provide knowledgeable insights into our wines, vineyards, and winemaking processes.
- Achieve high rate of wine sales in line with monthly targets.
- Facilitate collecting and recording of visitor information.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the tasting room, ensuring a visually appealing environment.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of wine products as needed.
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service and professionalism at all times.
Requirements:
- Presentable appearance with a professional demeanour.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English.
- Passion for wine and eagerness to expand knowledge.
- Previous experience in hospitality or wine-related roles is advantageous – WSET qualification preferable.
- Own transportation for reliable commuting to and from the estate.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
