Botha Wine Cellar, situated in Breedekloof Wine region, Western Cape, has an exciting opportunity for an innovative and enthusiastic individual with good work ethic, and the ability to work under pressure within a team environment.

The successful candidate will report to the Production Manager and will be responsible for (but not limited to): *full winemaking process of white wine *blending and stabilization of wine *ensuring compliance with relevant quality standards, accreditations/certifications (IPW, SAWIS, 22000 FSSC), and ethical audits (WIETA) *inventory management and product administration *cellar hygiene and health and safety requirements *liaison with suppliers *cellar staff management *financial management in a cellar environment (budget) *all other tasks related to the position.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• A relevant qualification in Viticulture and Oenology;
• Approximately 10 years’ winemaking experience;
• Thorough knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems;
• Thorough knowledge of IPW requirements for Cellars;
• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English);
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office, Wine MS, SAWIS);
• Good technical knowledge of Cellar equipment;
• Excellent people management and problem-solving skills.
