Details:
Maintain the Estate infrastructure: This includes but is not limited to road infrastructure, water reticulation, electricity network, perimeter fencing, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning, building, carpentry, waste management, water plant, generators/solar, projects.
Criteria:
- Matric
- Possess a strong electrical background, accreditation in this field is recommended.
- Technical accreditation relevant to Facilities Management would be an advantage
- 5 years’ experience in similar role
- Computer literacy
- Proficient in the English language (read, speak and write)
- Possess own vehicle
- Have a valid driver’s licence
- Reside in within close proximity to the Helderberg Wine Route
Responsibilities:
- Manage maintenance budget, including monitoring inventory and expenses.
- Ensure complaints and service failures are remedied in a timely manner.
- Coordinate major maintenance and repairs to mechanical systems, HVAC systems, generators, solar and water systems.
- Manage outsourced maintenance contractors.
- Serve as Health and safety representative.
- Ensure that staff adhere to disciplinary rules and acceptable behavior and take necessary management action in the event of breaches.
- Ensure that fire protection equipment, company vehicles and assets are properly maintained.
- Operate light and heavy machinery, including tractors, trailers, and garden equipment.
- Maintain and control stocks of supplies.
- Supervise staff after hours as required and maintain attendance and leave register.
- Regular routine preventative maintenance of all estate assets.
- Train employees in safety procedures, equipment, task procedures and work standards.
- Ensure cleaners follow SOPs and that cleaning of facilities is to company standard.
- Required to carry out tasks which entail bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching and the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights.
