Breakdown of the role:
The Tasting Room Manager role offers a unique blend of responsibilities, combining
administrative duties within the office environment with hands-on involvement in managing
the floor and bar areas during periods of high activity. This multifaceted position entails
overseeing administrative tasks, providing guidance and training to staff members, as well
as addressing any challenges that may arise, including staff training, support, and the
relevant HR-related duties.
Responsibilities:
- Staff wages
- Stock Count and Stock Control
- Ordering dry stock for the tasting room
- Purchasing anything needed for the tasting room and/or office.
- Liaising with the Marketing and Sales Manager and the Accounts Department
regarding invoices.
- Daily Cash ups
- Weekly shift roster; shifting staff according to the needs of the business.
- Dealing with any technical issues that may arise with systems such as but not
limited to phone lines, Wi-Fi, card machines, etc.
- Filing of documents for the tasting room
- Staff training, contracts, discipline, and organizing staff meetings.
- Hiring of staff
- Taking reservations via email or telephone
- Dealing with customers
- Assisting with private functions

- Able to conceptualize and run with a brief.
- Confident in managing and delegating tasks to employees.
- Management and oversight of the guest's expectations and experience.
- Strong communication skills.
