Exciting new opportunity for a junior accountant, reporting directly to the financial manager.

Accountant required:

An organized, ambitious, and eager individual ready and willing to learn new skills and who is a team player. Based in Klapmuts, Cape Town.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation, collation and compilation of schedules and reports from source documentation.
  • Reconciling bank statements on a monthly and annual basis using Xero Accounting.
  • Processing of all supplier invoices
  • Monthly supplier reconciliations
  • Supplier correspondence
  • Preparation of daily payments
  • Preparation of all orders as requested by the operations team
  • Debtors Weekly wage processing on payroll system
  • Time and attendance related administration
  • General office correspondence, and other administration tasks such as fielding phone calls, reception, and booking appointments with clients.
  • Any other tasks deemed necessary.

Preferred requirements:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Exposure to Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, Xero, and/or similar packages.
  • Communication skills and interactions with clients and staff in a professional manner.
  • An undergraduate degree or diploma in accounting with some work experience is advantageous.

  • Fluent in Afrikaans & English

  • must have good organizational skills 
  • must have enough confidence to improve existing systems to make it more efficient 
  • must be willing to learn 
  • must be comfortable working with spreadsheets 
  • must be computer literate 
  • must understand the “big picture”
