Our client DGB (Pty) Ltd (Fryers Cove), based in Doringbay, has the above position available for an energetic, independent, and highly driven individual, that can function under pressure and be innovative when needed.
The successful candidate will be required to lead the team to consistently deliver excellent service to guests by achieving optimal performance across all aspects of the Restaurant/Tasting Room.
The incumbent will be reporting to the GM/Winemaker and duties will include (but not be limited to): *Management of the restaurant and tasting room area and personnel *Responsible for Opex and Financial Control within area of scope *Liaison with the Head Chef and Wine Advisors to ensure quality customer experience *Liaison with external stakeholders, such as Tourism Association etc. *Stock control and rotation of food and menu items *Compile staff schedules *Perform daily administrative tasks *Adherence to Health and Safety standards to maintain a safe working environment *Conduct staff training on an ongoing basis *Ensure a professional guest experience *Report any deviations to management *All other tasks related to this position.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Minimum of 2-3 years Hospitality supervisory/management experience;
• Extensive knowledge of wine;
• Strong managerial capabilities;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Assertive individual with confidence in team collaboration, creative problem solving and conflict resolution skills;
• Computer literacy (MS Office, specifically excel, POS Systems). SAP experience will be advantageous;
• Ability to work weekends and public holidays as per industry requirements.
