Stellenbosch Vineyards is part of an internationally owned wine company and is looking for a REWORKS FLOOR SUPERVISOR to join the team!
The ideal candidate will be responsible for (Not limited to):
To oversee and coordinate the labelling and reworking operations within the production department. Responsible to lead a team of rework and labelling staff, ensuring efficient processes, maintaining quality standards and meeting targets. Supervise, organize, and optimize rework and labelling activities to maximize productive outputs and ensure a safe working environment.
Major Tasks:
- Verifying stock issued for reworks by Warehouse.
- Transfer stock to rework location.
- Manage labelling line, i.e., Labelling Machine to ensure it works efficiently and effectively and limit off times.
- Lead, motivate and supervise the labelling and reworks team responsible for labelling to ensure maximum production outputs with minimal costs and losses.
- Manage all other operational activities related to reworks and labelling.
- Planning – ensure optimal use of labelling machine and outputs for the day. Ensure deadline are met to deliver product on time as per order.
- Constant communication with Reworks Schedular and production teams to ensure on time delivery of products.
- Check stock after reworks and transfer back to warehouse.
- Ensure necessary paperwork is completed within the agreed timelines.
- Safety and compliance – ensure employees are trained and compliant to health and safety procedures and ensure quality standards are met.
Skills and Qualifications needed:
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in bottling / operations industry of FMCG environment
- Technical knowledge of machinery and labelling lines
- Good financial acumen and planning abilities
- Willing to work overtime from time to time when needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in leadership or supervisory role in manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Excellent computer skills needed
