The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
- Harvesting and winemaking
- Quality control
- Stock management
- Personnel management
- Maintenance and housekeeping
- Record keeping and administration
- Wine tasting and external liaison
- Health & Safety and accreditations
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (degree or diploma in Viticulture and Oenology or similar qualification)
- Proven experience in wine industry (3-5 years)
- Mechanical and technical knowledge of winemaking machinery and equipment
- Well-developed wine tasting skills
- Good computer skills (Wine MS)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Afrikaans and English)
- Passion and commitment for producing quality wine
- Detail orientated
- Ability to perform well in both a team context and individually
