We are currently looking for an Assistant Winemaker at Alto Wine Estate in Stellenbosch
Duties/responsibilities
- Assist with winemaking
- Stock control of:
- bulk wine
- additives and chemicals
- all empty barrels, cradles and bins
- SAWIS for wine certification
- Responsible for internal purchase orders
- Responsible for cellar security
- Ensure cellar hygiene
- Responsible for cellar building and equipment maintenance
- Housekeeping i.e. Clean store, equipment packed away
- Ensure that cellar is IPW compliant
- Assist with SIZA certification
- Oversee bottling
- Pre-and Post-Bottling paperwork
- Pre-bottling analysis
- Intake of bulk wine for services (including all related paperwork and analysis)
- Ensure all training is up to date
- Management of monthly attendance register
