Company in the wine industry requires a workshop manager to join their operations in Stellenbosch.


POSITION:         Workshop Manager

LOCATION:        Stellenbosch

TYPE:                Permanent, 3 month probation.

SALARY:            Market related, based on experience


OVERVIEW:

Company in the wine industry is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to implement and maintain maintenance plans, stock, fleet management and more. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, self-motivated, competent and able to work independently and accurately. The candidate will also need to have a strong personality and good managing skills to work with a team of technicians.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

-              Good knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and wine equipment mechanics systems (wine pumps – centrifugal, piston, etc…, pressure release valves, actuators, etc…)

-              Good communication skills to liaise with our machine operators, participate to management meetings, place orders with suppliers and manage all aspects of the 

               workshop.

-              Good knowledge of computer programs.

-              Knowledge in welding of steel and stainless steel.              

-              Valid SA ID and driver’s license with own reliable transport.

-              Must be able to work independently and in a responsible manner.


DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

-              Implement maintenance, stock and inspection systems.

-              Manage, maintain and control the maintenance plans, stock, equipment/vehicle inspection and service.

-              Manage and run the workshop efficient.

-              Participate to the improvement and design of equipment.

-              Manage and motivate a team of 3 people in the workshop as well as maintaining good relations with our team of machine operators.
