Our client a Guest House with self-catering accommodation is recruiting for a Guest House Manager in the Winelands area.

The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of the accommodation’s operations, including guest reservations, check-in/check-out.

Requirements and Previous Experience:

Matric with qualifications

Previous guest house management experience

Must be able to manage and motivate staff

Must have high standards and great attention to detail

Personal Skills and Attributes:

Hospitality / Customer driven
Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
Energetic, outspoken, self-confident and positive
Good industry knowledge

Job Description:
Supervision of housekeeping, laundry, office/reception

Checking of rooms, supervising of daily laundry activities.

Checking and maintaining of correct stock levels required for housekeeping and laundry area.

Supervising office and reception cleaning and scheduling.
Updating of third-party booking sites, answer booking enquiries and make bookings on GHM when required.

Guest check-ins and check-outs.
Work equipment distribution, maintenance and replacement when needed.
Staff rosters / scheduling and overtime management.
Overall staff liaising, communications, unity and moral build.
Staff training.
Monitoring and approving staff leave applications, overtime and off time balances.
Health and Safety compliance.
