Machine Operator / Forklift Driver - Stellenbosch

We are looking for a machine operator for a wine bottling company in Stellenbosch.

The purpose of this position is to take full responsibility for the TMG Monoblock Box Packer Machine. The position will also do general production line duties when machine is not in use.

Duties and responsibilites

• Set up of machine according to needs of production planned (Different box sizes, bottles, recipes, glue line adjustment, etc.)
• Supervision of machine whilst in operation
• Quality control of output of machine
• Hygiene of machine and surrounds
• General non-professional maintenance of machine, lubrication and small fixes

Additional duties

• Packing of bottles on/off of line
• Packing of pallets when required
• Preparation of export orders with required stickers
• Application of award stickers to bottles
• Basic quality control – checking if stickers are straight, correct quantities in boxes, removal of bottles with errors/defects on them (Rejects)
• Assist in any other reasonable requirements of production line
• Production area hygiene – Cleaning and cleanliness of floors, machines and area

Requirements

• Matric and previous experience in similar environment required
• Forklift license
• Knowledge of carton machines is advantageous
• Additional labelling machine operating will be advantages
• Basic technical skills in terms of automated machinery will be advantagous
