Criteria:
  • Post matric hotel school accreditation in Food and Beverage Management
  • 5 years’ experience in a 5-star hotel restaurant or similar environment
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Good understanding of the micros point of sale system
  • Previous leadership role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent numeracy skills with a sound understanding of finance
  • Excellent wine knowledge
  • High level of English proficiency
  • Ability to train and develop a team
  • Must be motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic
  • Understand the true ethos of hospitality – being warm, friendly and engaging with guests
  • Must be a team player, with a positive attitude
  • Must be able to work under pressure
 
Key Performance Areas Include But Are Not Limited To:
  • Management of daily F & B operations relevant to the position
  • Understands employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees' absence
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work tasks
  • Manage all forms of leave / absenteeism systems
  • Assists in the ordering of F & B supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by personal engagement and client service
  • Monitor all guest complaints, actioning steps where necessary
  • Food & Beverage planning & control
  • Monthly stocktaking and ensure tight control over F&B security to avoid damage or losses
