Our client, situated in the heart of the Western Cape farmlands in the beautiful Ceres Valley, produces a range of quality fruit like apples, pears and plums for the export market. The company requires the services of a dynamic and motivated Payroll and Administrative Clerk who will report directly to the Financial Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Operating and maintaining the farm costing solutions program
- Executing payroll related tasks
- Oversee and monitor electricity usage
- Liaison with municipality
- Stock taking
- Financial reporting
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in administration
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Proven knowledge of payroll systems, specifically VIP Payroll
- Familiar with Farm Costing Solutions software
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as Vlookup
- Understanding of farming operations and agricultural practices (beneficial)
- Ability to perform data entry and manage financial information related to farming operations
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of wage calculations, deductions and tax implications
- Ability to create and manage spreadsheets, perform data analysis and generate reports
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed computer literacy and skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to understand and create systems
