Our client, a global company and leader in Oenology, offers a wide range of oenological products and technical assistance to Winemakers, assisting them to produce the highest quality wines.
Our client has the above-mentioned position available for a customer-focused Sales Consultant. A good understanding of oenology and production processes in the wine industry, paired with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth, is essential to the role. The position will be based in Paarl, Western Cape.
Responsibilities will include: *Market Analysis: Conducting market research to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends *Sales Strategy: Developing & implementing sales strategies in collaboration with Sales Manager *Sales Growth: Identifying and pursuing new opportunities, expanding & maintaining client relationships, executing sales plans *Technical Expertise & Support: Assisting clients in selecting products and solutions for their needs *Client Relationship Management: providing exceptional service & after sales support to clients *Product Knowledge: Maintaining in-depth knowledge of product range and staying updated on industry advancements *Reporting: Preparing and presenting sales reports & forecasts *Team Collaboration: supporting sales team members, and collaborating with marketing and technical teams to align strategies and ensure client satisfaction *all other tasks related to the role.
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Oenology, Viticulture, Food Science, or related field;
• Experience in a similar sales role in the wine industry or related sectors;
• Strong computer literacy (MS Office & CRM software);
• Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English;
• Valid driver's license;
• Willingness to travel nationally & internationally, and work hours as per industry requirements.
