Wine Ambassador - Market Related

Blaauwklippen Hospitality (Pty) Ltd requires an experienced and hardworking Wine Ambassador to join their Tasting House Team. The ideal candidate must be well-spoken, self-motivated, enthusiastic, presentable, and fluent in English with a good command of Afrikaans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Serving customers at the Tasting House to maintain a consistent 5-star experience for guests,
• Promote and upsell our Estate Wines and confidently execute daily wine tastings and pairings to customers,
• Drive all sales available at the Tasting House and on the Estate (incl. wine sales, food, and art etc.),
• Execution of daily tasting house duties (incl. set-up, service, bill payments, end-of-duties etc.),
• Ensure all guests feels important and welcome, and treat with respect,
• Have general knowledge of the Cape Winelands, Wine, and tourism industry,
• Must follow all cash handling policies and procedures,
• Must be able to work on Dine Plan & Light Speed POS System.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Formal wine education will be an advantage,
• 2 years’ minimum experience within the wine & restaurant industry,
• Good understanding of hospitality procedures and practices,
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays,
• Passion for wine and the hospitality industry,
• Own reliable transport to get to and from work.
