Stems Fruit is a fruit export company that specializes in the marketing of Stone Fruit.

The successful candidate will have the exciting opportunity of developing a trading desk and be responsible for managing retail programs in upcoming markets.

 Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in strategic markets
• Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to ensure effective product positioning
• Pro-active driving and negotiating to ensure optimum results w.r.t price, sales and service delivery
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve defined objectives
• Build and manage relationships with producers, service providers, receivers and colleagues
• Diligent management of information and relevant administration

Requirements:

• An appropriate tertiary qualification
• Previous relevant experience (selling of fresh fruit)
• Knowledge and insight w.r.t. the fruit industry and networks
• A confident, energetic, and dynamic personality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with people (groups and individuals) on all levels
• Good negotiation skills
• High levels of emotional intelligence
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Adaptability and ability to manage change
• Very good language skills (English and Afrikaans)
