this focus on quality, continuity & excellence in the vineyards has created and exciting opportunity for a dedicated & enthusiastic junior viticulturist to join the team.
you will have a keen interest in the science of grape growing and have a constant desire to further your knowledge and experience in this field.
duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- managing and supervising vineyard operations
- implementing pest control measures
- building and maintaining irrigation systems
- testing and monitoring soil health
- overseeing, growing, harvesting and pruning
- working with winemakers & viticultural experts
- assessing grape health, quality and ripeness
- managing and training vineyard workers
- developing strategies to increase productivity and yields
- investigating, recording and interpreting data
the position requires a degree in viticulture with a minimum of 5 years appropriate experience. international exposure, cool climate experience & a positive attitude will be advantageous.
