DAMASCENE is seeking three enthusiastic interns to join our small team for the 2025-harvest. The internship will be from the mid-January 2025 until mid-April 2025. We offer valuable experience with a comprehensive range of exposure and responsibility.
We lease/source fruit from more than thirty famous and old vine vineyards in the Stellenbosch, Swartland, Ceres-Plateau, Piekenierskloof and Cederberg regions.
We also have our own estate Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Riesling high-density vineyards in Elgin, for the Moya Meaker brand.
We make a majority of high-end wines from:
Syrah
Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Franc
Chenin Blanc
Semillon (from some of the oldest vineyards in South Africa)
Total volume is approximately 150 tons.
As an intern you will have exposure to a broad range of vineyards and winemaking activities from vineyard sampling, overseeing harvest picks, fermentation management, barrel work, maintaining cellar hygiene and racking/blending/bottling of the previous vintage wines. We are a small full-time team of five, dedicated and passionate about our work, and aim for the highest quality with a classical approach to viticulture and winemaking.
