We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Brand ambassador that will do Regional Sales in the Western Cape and Garden Route, driving brand growth and expanding our market presence.

Job Summary:
As the Brand ambassador doing Regional Sales for Paul Clüver Family Wines, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies for the region. You will build strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retail partners, ensuring that Paul Clüver wines are well-represented and listed. Your leadership, market insight, and passion for our brand will be crucial to your success in this role.

Starting Date: 1 October / 1 November

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy & Execution:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive national sales strategy to increase market share and achieve sales targets.
  • Lead and manage relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retail partners to drive brand visibility and sales.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand our presence in existing and new markets.
  • Collaborate with our distribution partner, Meridian Wine Merchants, to maximize sales opportunities and ensure effective market coverage.
  1. Brand Representation & Promotion:
  • Serve as the face of Paul Clüver Family Wines, representing the brand at trade tastings, wine festivals, private tastings, and other industry events.
  • Promote and sell Paul Clüver wines to retailers, grocers, redistributors, and restaurants.
  • Work closely with retailers and grocers to ensure our wines are prominently merchandised and available for purchase.
  1. Product Knowledge & Training:
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Paul Clüver Family Wines, including our history, winemaking processes, and product offerings.
  • Provide product training and support to sales teams, retailers, and distributors to enhance their ability to promote our wines.
  1. Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on sales activities, market trends, customer interactions, and feedback.
  • Share insights and recommendations with senior management to inform strategy and drive growth.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a sales role, preferably within the wine industry.
  • Strong network of industry contacts and a deep understanding of the South African wine market.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with strong leadership capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • WSET/Cape Winemakers Academy qualifications are advantageous.
