Group Financial Manager - Farming Operations

A well-established fruit export company in Stellenbosch seeks to employ a Group Financial Manager – Farming Operations.  This position oversees the financial systems and functions of a group of agricultural entities and reports to the CFO.  The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role.

Duties includes:

• Full Financial management and control function
• Review and amendment of annual operational and financial budgets
• Consolidation of group accounts
• Preparation, analysis and review of management accounts
• Cashflow planning and management
• Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of internal controls
• Manage financial and management reporting process
• Preparation and compilation of quarterly board packs
• Group consolidated annual financial statement preparation and manage annual financial audit
• Preparation and maintenance of capital development budget for existing operations and any new developments
• Setup, implementation, training and management of overall financial control framework, accounting and financial systems and processes

Requirements:

• A relevant Accounting qualification
• Completed SAICA, CIMA or SAIPA articles
• Experience with Pastel Evolution will be advantages
• Minimum 5 years financial experience in the agricultural sector
