South Africa Wine - Communications Officer - Negotiable

South Africa Wine provides essential support services to the wine and brandy value chain with the vision of enabling it to become more robust, transformed, agile, and competitive. This dynamic office-bound position involves handling digital content and crafting high-quality written material for various communication channels.  Reporting to the Communications and Brand Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Internal and external communication
• Maintaining the organisation's digital presence (website and social media platforms)
• Content creation and handling
• Actively network with key stakeholders
• Managing Ad hoc design tasks and corporate collateral
• Staff communication (internal newsletters, emails and communication platforms)
• Media support and monitoring
• Reporting
• Admin and ad hoc tasks

Requirements:

• A relevant Degree or Diploma in Communications or Journalism.
• 2 - 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in MS Office and design software (Adobe Suite, Canva or similar) with video editing experience.
• Ability to generate innovative ideas for processes and content.
• A positive, energetic, professional, innovative and assertive individual.
• Administrative and project management skills
• Excellent communication skills in both Afrikaans and English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Good planning, organising and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of and exposure to the South African wine industry would be an advantage.
• Valie driver's licence.
