Thor Vintners is looking for student / part time wine advisors to work in shifts. Previous experience in a relevant field is required. Thor Vintners will be opening their new concept wine hub in the centre of Durbanville - join the next generation of wine engagement! Hourly rate plus commissions on off con sales
Time: 11:00 - 19:00 (negotiable)
Job Requirements:
2- 3 years previous tasting room experience (or just surprise us with some knowledge!)
Well presented
Fluent in Afrikaans & English
Able to work in a team
Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays.
Drivers license or reliable transport
SA Citizen or valid working papers
Valid references
Must reside in or close to Durbanville.
Key Responsibilities
Wine tasting / presenting our wines / on-con sales
Off-con sales (comm’s driven)
Stock Control, Ordering & recon
Strong administrative skills / Commerce 7 knowhow would be preferable
Wine Club growth and engagement.
Knowledge of SA wine regions / terroirs
Events planner / bookings for wine & food pairing events
