Somerset West: My client, a prestigious 5-star establishment situated in the Helderberg region has a vacancy for an experienced waitron with sound industry experience to join their dynamic Food & Beverage Team.
The successful candidate should possess a blend of interpersonal skills, and industry knowledge to create an enjoyable and memorable experience for customers by meeting the following criteria:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a 5-Star Hotel or similar environment
- Solid knowledge of wine and other beverages
- Full insight of menu methods of production and presentation standards
- Proficiency in hospitality computer applications, including Opera or similar
- Good communication skills in English (speak, read and write)
- Good numeracy skills
- Strong attention to detail with great memory skills
- Confident, energetic, professional, with a friendly personality
- Focused on delivering excellent guest service
- Well-groomed with a polished appearance
- Able to handle pressure and multitask effectively
- Willing to work flexible hours based on business needs
