We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Sales Representative based in Johannesburg (& surrounds) to join our team. You will be required to regularly call on the trade including forging new relationships and maintaining existing. The candidate must have industry experience (wine/spirits) and a good standing relationship with retail outlets and the on-trade sector.
You will be required to attend to inter alia the following duties:
- Plan and carry out selling activities to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values and timescales.
- Respond to and follow up on sales enquiries.
- Develop new customers through communication and liaison.
- Monitor and report on sales activities and provide relevant management information.
- Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys.
- Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions and conduct presentations to customers (must be a competent writer of business correspondence, quotations, presentations and proposals).
- Ensure highest possible customer service standards.
- Ensure exceptional levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining the company’s corporate image and reputation.
Minimum requirements:
- Senior certificate or equivalent.
- More than 2 years’ sales experience in the “wine/spirits” industry, in particular retail outlets and must have good standing relationships in the industry (non-negotiable).
- Efficient knowledge using Microsoft Office.
- Have excellent sales management and negotiation skills.
- Should have strong technical skills in sales planning.
- Have excellent ability to identify key initiative and demonstrates a sense of urgency.
- Have excellent communication skills (presentation and written ability).
- Must have a clean driving license and own vehicle.
