Key Account Manager

A leading company in the food manufacturing industry, dedicated to delivering high-quality products to their clients, is seeking to employ a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities include; but not limited to:
Manage and nurture long-term relationships with key clients in the food manufacturing sector.
Identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to increase account revenue.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to ensure mutual benefit.
Put promotions in place to drive sales.
Analyse effectiveness of promos actioned.
Work closely with ops manager and sales & merchandising teams and keep them posted of promo activity and new product launches
Sales forecasting
Checking & signing off trading term expenses
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely product delivery, quality assurance, and adherence to safety regulations.
Utilize CRM systems to track sales performance, analyze data, and prepare reports.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and supply chain management best practices.
Proactively solve client issues and provide excellent customer service.

Experience & characteristics required for this role:
Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve complex issues and provide creative solutions for clients.
Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations, with a focus on driving revenue and profitability.
Organizational Skills: Highly organized, with strong administrative and preparation capabilities.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience required: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in key account management, sales, or client-facing roles, preferably in the food manufacturing or related industries.
Remuneration: Competitive salary and commission structure
Type of position: full time
Location: Western Cape
Travel: Frequent travel will be required within South Africa
