Experienced Baker required to form part of a dynamic team of a vibrant Bistro and Deli on an Upmarket Estate near Franschhoek. The perfect individual is someone creative with a stable track record and experience in various baking techniques. At least 5 years previous experience as a baker essential.

Own transport beneficial and willing to work flexible hours.

Matric
Minimum of 3 - 5 years‘ experience as a Baker in a hospitality environment
Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport beneficial
Computer literate

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for keeping the Bakery stocked with Breads according to par levels decided by the Executive Chef
Responsible for Biscotti, Rusks, Salted Caramel Tartlets, GF Brownies, Fudge, Apple Fold-overs, Pecan Pie, Savory Pies, Spanakopita & any new products in the Deli
Responsible for specific elements for High Tea to be decided by the Executive Chef
Assisting with preparations for Weddings, or special events
Ensuring there is enough Bread to fill the Deli, especially on days off
Manage the Bread order of all hospitality entities on the property
Manage the order process and tracking
Inventory control & checking orders according to Invoice
Assisting with cleaning of general areas of the Bakery and ensuring that your workstation is cleaned daily, organized & labelled
Ensuring strict food safety regulations
Rotating stock and prep properly to make sure wastage is kept to a minimum
Ensuring Bread is consistent and to standard daily
