Exciting Harvest Internship Opportunity at Villiera Wines

Villiera is looking looking for two harvest interns to join our team for the upcoming season (January – April). We are a leading South African producer of award winning Cap Classique and still wines. Despite the strong focus on Cap Classique in our cellar, as an intern you will gain valuable experience in red and white still wines; we also have a strong reputation for Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Merlot and Cabernet.

As a harvest intern at Villiera, you will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of winemaking during the harvest season. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Grape reception
Press operation
Additions
Racking and transfers
Fermentation monitoring and control
Pump overs and punch downs
Barrel work
Maintaining cellar hygiene

We are seeking candidates who are not only capable but also enthusiastic about taking on diverse tasks. Teamwork and reliability are crucial attributes we value in our interns.

Requirements:

Own transportation is essential for this role.
A tertiary qualification in the field and previous harvest experience are not strict requirements, but would count in your favour.
