Previous experience in effectively managing and leading a bustling five-star hotel kitchen operation is essential. Formal culinary education, reliable transportation, and a valid driver's license are indispensable prerequisites.
Key Responsibilities:
In this crucial role, you will provide invaluable support to the Executive Chef in managing and directing all aspects of kitchen operations and personnel. Your responsibilities will include assisting in menu planning, meticulously costing recipes, and ensuring efficient food consumption. Furthermore, you will be entrusted with maintaining stringent stock controls, effectively managing stock movement and rotation, and fostering productive supplier relationships. Demonstrating exceptional proficiency in controlling food costs, minimizing wastage, and optimizing kitchen preparation processes will be paramount. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in staff development, ensuring effective training and fostering a positive work environment.
