A prestigious Wine and Olive Estate located in the heart of Stellenbosch is seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Maintenance Manager. This role is essential to the development, maintenance, and sustainability of the Estate’s infrastructure, ensuring that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Outcomes:
- Ensure all infrastructure is serviced and maintained.
- Oversee maintenance of all machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Drive an efficient, high-performing maintenance team.
- Maintain infrastructure and equipment cost-effectively.
- Lead continuous improvement in sustainability practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage ongoing infrastructure development and maintenance.
- Oversee fleet management and upkeep of all machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Coordinate and supervise external service providers.
- Oversee budget management for all maintenance activities.
- Manage the security services for all properties.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
- Lead emergency preparedness initiatives.
- Coordinate and implement sustainability initiatives.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to guarantee effective delivery of maintenance services.
- Lead, manage, and develop the infrastructure and maintenance team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Technical, mechanical, or project management qualification.
- A valid driver’s licence
- 5-7 years’ experience in infrastructure development and maintenance, ideally in an agricultural setting.
- Project management experience
- Proven team management experience.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and solar energy solutions.
- Budget management skills.
- Expertise in Occupational Health & Safety.
The successful candidate will work closely with all departments to foster collaborative relationships, ensuring the efficient delivery of maintenance services. The Infrastructure & Maintenance Manager will report directly to the General Manager.
