A prestigious Wine and Olive Estate located in the heart of Stellenbosch is seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Maintenance Manager. This role is essential to the development, maintenance, and sustainability of the Estate’s infrastructure, ensuring that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Outcomes:

  1. Ensure all infrastructure is serviced and maintained.
  2. Oversee maintenance of all machinery, equipment, and tools.
  3. Drive an efficient, high-performing maintenance team.
  4. Maintain infrastructure and equipment cost-effectively.
  5. Lead continuous improvement in sustainability practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage ongoing infrastructure development and maintenance.
  • Oversee fleet management and upkeep of all machinery, equipment, and tools.
  • Coordinate and supervise external service providers.
  • Oversee budget management for all maintenance activities.
  • Manage the security services for all properties.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Lead emergency preparedness initiatives.
  • Coordinate and implement sustainability initiatives.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to guarantee effective delivery of maintenance services.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the infrastructure and maintenance team.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Technical, mechanical, or project management qualification.
  • A valid driver’s licence
  • 5-7 years’ experience in infrastructure development and maintenance, ideally in an agricultural setting.
  • Project management experience
  • Proven team management experience.
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems and solar energy solutions.
  • Budget management skills.
  • Expertise in Occupational Health & Safety.

The successful candidate will work closely with all departments to foster collaborative relationships, ensuring the efficient delivery of maintenance services. The Infrastructure & Maintenance Manager will report directly to the General Manager.
