La Motte Wine Estate in the Franschhoek Valley requires a person with a thorough knowledge of and affinity for art, culture and historical aspects to join the La Motte team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
*engaging with visitors to the La Motte Studio about the history/heritage, art and exhibitions * maintaining and preserving the permanent collections * managing the studio programme of exhibitions and workshops * cultivating and maintaining relationships with artists, artisans and creative collaborators * managing the Studio regarding visitor reception, budget, security, maintenance, etc. * formulating and presenting art & cultural experiences on the estate * liaison with culturally related organisations, art and culture media and associated tourism organisations * provide interior styling assistance
Applications are awaited from persons who comply with the following:
* professional appearance and conduct * an applicable tertiary qualification * thorough knowledge of art, as well as applicable experience * excellent ability and fluency in Afrikaans and English (a third language will be a recommendation) * a passion for art and culture * a willingness to work on scheduled Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
