Stellenbosch 
Eikendal Vineyards, between Stellenbosch and Somerset West on the R44, is looking for a motivated, energetic and hands on harvest intern to be part of the 2024 harvest team.
The contract period will run from January 2025 to the end of April or May depending on when the last grapes are received.
The intern will gain experience of the whole winemaking process from vineyard to wine.
Responsibilities:
Cellar hygiene
Sampling of wine and grapes
Yeast inoculations and nutrient additions
Balling and temperature readings
Must analysis
Barrel work
Pump overs
The ideal intern must be capable of doing physically demanding work, have a National Matric diploma, be willing to work overtime and on public holidays for the duration of the harvest season. Must be in possession of a valid driver’s licence. Own transport, previous harvest experience and additional oenology/viticulture training will count in the favour of the candidate. Accommodation can be arranged if needed.
