INHERENT JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Agriculture, or the equivalent combination of education and experience/AVCASA
- Experience in farm production, more specifically citrus operations.
- Computer literate including Excel, Outlook and MS Teams. FarmTrace will be advantageous.
- Knowledge relating to compliance and health and safety standards such as SIZA, Global Gap and management thereof.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS INCLUDE:
- Pest management: pest and spraying
- Fertiliser programme management, harvesting and pruning processes
- HR Labour management and productivity within budget and ensure that all practices are SIZA compliant
- Administration and record keeping of farming activities such as diesel controls
- Oversee general maintenance and neatness of farm and farming operations
- DAFF registrations and inspections
- Global Gap to ensure that all practices adhere to Global Gap specifications
