All our barrels are naturally seasoned for 36 months.
Crafted from Quercus Petraea oak and meticulously produced by a traditional family-run cooperage in Serbia. The oak contributes a refined complexity to the wine, due to its medium-to-fine grain structure and medium toasting.
Expect sophisticated notes of cloves and cinnamon. The medium toasting enhances the flavor profile with complementary notes of honey, caramel and vanilla, resulting in a well-rounded experience.
These barrels are particularly well-suited for aging Shiraz/Syrah and Pinotage and we are exploring their potential for aging other grape cultivars. Trials are ongoing and the aim is to unlock the full capabilities of these barrels.
