Leopard’s Leap in the Franschhoek Valley requires a person with a positive, energetic, and enthusiastic outlook and the ability to function well under pressure, to join the Restaurant team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

  • Measuring meal ingredients for the Chefs
  • Preparing meal ingredients, which includes seasoning of different meats as well as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits
  • Preparing basic salads and sauces as directed by the Chefs
  • Taking inventory when needed
  • Discarding expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers
  • Performing basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitized
  • Plating and presenting meal items as per the Chef’s instructions
  • Assist in Pastry section with preparation of dishes

Applications are awaited from persons who comply with the following

  • Degree or Diploma in culinary arts / formal chefs training
  • At least one years’ experience in a similar position
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Energetic personality
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to use initiative and be self-driven
  • Own reliable transport
  • Sober habits
  • Willingness to work weekends and Public Holidays
  • Contactable references available
