Our international client, operating two Deciduous Fruit Farms near CALEDON/VILLIERSDORP in the Western Cape, is seeking an energetic individual with exceptional numerical skills and the ability to thrive under pressure for the above position.

The position will report to the Financial Manager of the Farms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for financial administrative functions which include;

  • Creditor and Debtor Management
  • VAT Management
  • Cash and Bank
  • Wages (Back-up function)
  • Property, Plant & Equipment
  • Inventory & Fuel
  • During Harvest Season – Daily weighbridge reports for each farm and assistance with preparation of files
  • Inter Company Transactions and Accounts
  • Journals
  • All other ad hoc tasks related to the position

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Grade 12 Senior Certificate
  • Relevant financial diploma/degree
  • Financial/Bookkeeping/Accounting work experience
  • Thorough Computer literacy (MS Office, especially Excel)
  • Working knowledge of Accounting and Payroll software
  • Good communication skills - Speak, read and write Afrikaans and English
  • Able to work under pressure and independently
  • Honest and reliable
  • Non-smoker and sober habits
  • Own reliable transport (travel to and from work)

Remuneration:                                  R15-R20 000 p.m.
