JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the role is to oversee and manage Commercial Accounting for export activities, ensuring accurate financial tracking, compliance, and optimization of export-related transactions. The role includes preparing, analyzing, and reporting financial data related to exports, supporting decision-making processes, and maintaining clear communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial outcomes
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Review weekly invoices and costing of previous week;
|
Process account sales and costs on Palbroker (freight, transport, storage, inspections, landside;
|
Review ROE and communicate to commercial;
|
Compile list of Age Receivables – communicate via email to clients and Commercial team;
|
Clearing and allocation of funds;
|
Compile list of grower payouts weekly;
|
Update ROE for the week for invoicing, costing and Grower Payout;
|
Communicate with Commercial team to sign off grower payouts and account sales;
|
Update and compile weekly Currency Cashflow;
|
Process Payments of Forex;
|
Prepare and communicate forex transactions;
|
Prepare and update Balance sheet control accounts on Xero;
|
Ensure all transactions, both supplier and customer pull through on Power BI app;
|
Issue of custom / commercial invoices to freight forwarders.
Operations – Assist ad hoc;
|
Commercial – Ad hoc reporting and pull data;
|
Director – Ad hoc reporting and pull data.
|
|
Ensure the company is compliant (Both Namibia and South Africa) with all local requirements such as:
SARB approval
|
Review Exports and integration between Palbroker, Xero and Power BI;
|
Prepare, process and communicate all Export data as required.
|
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bcom Management Accounting;
|
CIMA will be advantageous.
|
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans);
|
Good inter-personal skills with a proven ability to build relationships and manage a team;
|
Strong administrative and time management skills;
|
Ability to take inititiative;
|
Good computer skills (MS Office, Office 365 Outlook, Excel and Xero, Power BI, SQL);
|

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:
Understand export industry and the importance of information for all related parties;
|
Previous experience (Minimum 5 years) in the fruit industry (Commodity knowledge), farming culture, operations and how the process flow works from farm to staging or export facilities;
|
Accounting experience; specifically cashflow, cost management, exchange rate;
|
Logistical system experience, specifically optimalization of system to fit business needs;
|
Accounting system knowledge, the integration of systems and running parallel systems;
|
Basic data system knowledge (Microsoft BI, SQL, Excel);
|
